Rob is co-founder of Higher Mind Mediaworks, and the agency’s digital media and storytelling specialist. His expertise lies in defining how new media relate to all aspects of an organization, from content and curriculum to marketing and buzz creation. With a Ph.D. in History and more than twenty years of experience as an educator and administrator, Rob is a historian, journalist, and multimedia producer who has taught a wide variety of F2F and online media courses at Champlain College, Sacred Heart University, St. Michael’s College, Burlington College, and the University of Vermont.

The founding president of the Action Coalition for Media Education (ACME), Rob teaches media education approaches and tools, with an emphasis on blogocentric pedagogy and social media platforms, encouraging students to find their individual voices in the emerging world of emergent digital media. A practicing journalist and publisher, Rob currently serves as editor and publisher of Vermont Commons: Voices of Independence, a statewide independent newspaper. He also co-manages Vermont Yak Company in Vermont’s Mad River Valley and performs pherocious “pholk phunk” in the Phineas Gage Project.
